The e.p.t. Menopause (FSH) Rapid Test comes with three convenient tests to help you understand your body’s changes. As menopause approaches, your follicle-stimulating hormone levels increase, and this simple urine test can detect those elevated levels with clinical-grade accuracy. Perfect for women experiencing potential menopause symptoms like hot flashes, mood fluctuations, or irregular periods.
Each test provides results in as little as 3 minutes, helping you determine if what you’re feeling might be related to menopause or something else. Knowledge is power, and these tests offer a first step toward managing this natural transition more confidently. Use these insights to guide productive conversations with your healthcare provider about personalized care options.
If you are still getting monthly periods, take the e.p.t. Menopause Test during the first week of your cycle between days 2 – 7. If your result is negative but you’re still having symptoms, take a second test 1 week later.
If you no longer have regular periods, take the e.p.t. Menopause Test anytime during the month and take a second test 1 week later if needed.
Remove the e.p.t. Menopause Test from the foil wrapper. Be sure to use the test right away.
Remove the purple cap to expose the absorbent tip. Hold the test by its thumb grip. Keep the absorbent tip pointing downward.
Urine Stream: Do not insert the test stick into your vagina. Place just the absorbent tip, pointing downward, in your urine stream for 5 – 10 seconds only. After sampling, keep the absorbent tip point pointing downward. Never hold the test with the absorbent tip pointing upward.
Urine Cup Test: Collect a sample of your urine in a clean, dry container. Dip just the absorbent tip in your collected urine for 5 – 10 seconds only. After sampling, keep the absorbent tip point pointing downward. Never hold the test with the absorbent tip pointing upward.
Recover the test with the cap and place the test on a clean, flat surface with the windows facing up. Set the timer immediately for 3 minutes. You may notice a light red color moving across the window. Be sure to read the result before 10 minutes have passed.
Important: To avoid affecting the test result, wait at least 3 minutes before lifting the test. Store in a dry place at 36° to 86° Fahrenheit. Do not freeze. For in-vitro diagnostic use only. Not for internal use. Use as directed. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use a test that is past its expiration date. Do not use if the foil wrapper containing the test is damaged. Use the test only once. The used test should be discarded according to local regulation.
Reading the Result
With the e.p.t. Menopause Rapid Test, a line in the round window indicates a positive result, meaning it detects elevated FSH levels. If no line appears in the round window, that is a negative result.
The table below can help you understand your results.
If you’re experiencing perimenopausal symptoms along with regular periods:

If you’re experiencing menopausal symptoms without a period for the last 12 months:

The e.p.t. Menopause is over 99% accurate in detecting Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) levels in urine. This is based on a clinical evaluation in which the test accuracy was compared to another commercially available urine FSH test. The results demonstrated 100.0% overall accuracy of FSH Rapid Test Midstream when compared to the other urine FSH test.
As your body ages and produces less estrogen, FSH levels increase as the hormone tries to stimulate the ovaries to produce a healthy egg. This test measures FSH and can tell you whether your body is producing excess FSH because of low estrogen levels, signaling that your body is in the perimenopause stage.
We recommend performing the test using first morning urine as it contains the most hormones and will give the most accurate result. If you are still menstruating, we recommend testing during the first week of your cycle and then retesting one week later
No, you shouldn’t stop contraception immediately. This test is not designed to determine fertility. You should continue contraception until your menopause status has been confirmed by your doctor.
You should check with your doctor if you are taking hormonal medications. Also, if you’ve recently been on oral birth control / hormone replacement, been pregnant, or breastfeeding, these can alter your hormones and affect the test results.
You should see a red line in the Control Window when reading the results. If you do not see a line in the Control Window, you should look over the testing instructions repeat with a new test. The test is not reusable. If you continue to have problems, please contact us so we can help.
