Step One: Remove the Test Stick

Remove the e.p.t. pregnancy test stick from the foil wrapper. Be sure to use the test stick right away.

Step Two: Remove the Cap

Remove the purple cap to expose the absorbent tip. Hold the test stick by its thumb grip. Keep the absorbent tip pointing downward. Important: Throughout testing, never hold the test stick with the absorbent tip pointing upward.

Step Three: Take the Test

Urine Stream: Do not insert the test stick into your vagina. Place just the absorbent tip, pointing downward, in your urine stream for 10 seconds only. After sampling, keep the absorbent tip point pointing downward. Never hold the test stick with the absorbent tip pointing upward.

Urine Cup Test: Collect a sample of your urine in a clean, dry container. Dip just the absorbent tip in your collected urine for 20 seconds only. After sampling, keep the absorbent tip point pointing downward. Never hold the test stick with the absorbent tip pointing upward.

Step Four: Wait for the Result

Place the test stick on a flat surface with the window facing up for at least 3 minutes. If you wish, replace the cap to cover the absorbent tip. You may notice a light red color moving across the window. Be sure to read the result before 10 minutes have passed.

Important: To avoid affecting the test result, wait at least 3 minutes before lifting the stick. Store at 36° to 86° Fahrenheit. Do not freeze. For in-vitro diagnostic use only. Not for internal use. Use as directed. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use a test stick that is past its expiry date. Do not use if the foil wrapper containing the test is damaged.

Depending on your level of hCG, the first positive sign could appear within 1 minute. But, we recommend you wait 3 minutes before reading the result. Be sure to read the result before 10 minutes have passed.

A Vertical, Red Line will appear in the square window as a control to show the test has worked. If no red line appears in the square window within 10 minutes, the test may be faulty or expired.

Positive Result

If you see a Vertical Line in the round window, this indicates a positive result and you may be pregnant. The line can be different shades of red. Please follow up with your doctor if you get a positive result.

Negative Result

If you do not see a line in the round window, this indicates a negative result. If you are experiencing symptoms and/or are testing more than 4 days before your expected period, you may want to test again on the day of your expected period.

What is the accuracy level of an E.P.T. Pregnancy Test?

The e.p.t. Pregnancy Test delivers over 99% accuracy* when used from the day of your expected period. Testing earlier than your expected period may result in lower accuracy rates.

*The test is over 99% accurate in detecting pregnancy hormone from the expected period date. Note that some women who are pregnant may not have detectable pregnancy hormone levels on their expected period date, or may have miscalculated when their period was due to begin.

How does the e.p.t. Pregnancy Test function?

During pregnancy, your body produces hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin), commonly known as the pregnancy hormone. In early pregnancy stages, hCG levels increase steadily. The e.p.t. Pregnancy Test is designed to detect even minimal quantities of this hormone in your urine sample.

When is the earliest I can use e.p.t. to confirm pregnancy?

You may use the e.p.t. Pregnancy Test even before your expected period date. Keep in mind that if you test early and receive a negative result (no line in the round window), there remains a possibility that you could still be pregnant.

What is the optimal timing for using an e.p.t. pregnancy test?

For testing prior to your expected period, we suggest using your first morning urine as it contains the highest concentration of pregnancy hormones. For testing on or after your expected period date, the e.p.t. Pregnancy Test can be used at any time throughout the day. To determine your expected period date, calculate your regular cycle length by counting from the first day of your period to the day before your next period begins.

What if the test windows show different red line intensities?

The intensity variation between lines does not affect the results. Whether one line appears lighter or darker than the other is not significant. Remember to read your test result within 10 minutes after performing the test.

What should I do if no red line appears in the square window after using the test?

If no red line appears in the square window within the 10-minute timeframe, the test has not functioned properly. This malfunction may occur for several reasons: excessive or insufficient urine application, failure to keep the absorbent tip pointed downward during testing, or not laying the test stick flat after applying urine.
